Paul’s long and colourful career started at Coventry city as a school boy and impressed that much he was offered a two year scholarship. While at Coventry he won the prestigious FA youth cup 1987. His talents was noticed by Cambridge United were he signed in the 1987/8 season making his first team professional debut ages just seventeen.

In 1988 he went to play in Malaysia for six months before returning to Cambridge united for a season. Paul then went into semi professional football signing with fisher athletic, before moving onto Kettering town.

Paul then signed Boston United were he stayed for an impressive twelve years and helping them into the football league. He then played every professional game in their first two seasons before getting an injury and coming out of full time football.

From Boston, Paul then signed for Dagenham and Redbridge before moving onto St. Albans then to Rushden and diamonds. He then moved to St Albans and returned home to Boston United. Paul has made an very impressive 650 first team appearances for Boston United and has unbelievably played over 1000 professional and semi professional games .

Paul has been coaching for nearly seven years now and has helped too date ten young goalkeepers through to professional clubs .
